About this Community of Practice

How We Practice

To us, a community of practice is a supportive and educational space, where peer support group meets professional development.

The community of practice is united by our shared skills and interest in tobacco treatment, though each member brings unique experiences and perspectives that enhance our learning and collaboration.

We show up for each other and provide support in times of doubt, celebrate each others’ wins, and build our collective capacity through the sharing of resources and opportunities.

Our Work, Our Communities

Members come from diverse organizations and roles, including direct service providers, organizational leadership, program directors, health promotion or prevention coordinators and specialists, peer support professionals, community health workers, and others!

We provide tobacco treatment, prevention, and/or education services all over Oregon. Currently, we have 27 members representing 17 counties.
