Xander Cook
Research from the 1990s on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) highlighted the profound impact of childhood experiences on negative outcomes. However, we now recognize the existence of experiences on the other side of the coin: Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs). PCEs are a core component of resilience, social skills, and overall well-being, and they can mitigate the effects of adversity and trauma. This session will delve into the latest research on PCEs, exploring how community groups can foster safe, supportive, and nurturing environments to produce positive outcomes for children and adolescents.
